105 - 115 per day.

Empowering Learning are a market leading education recruitment company. We are working in exclusive partnership with a friendly, welcoming and well-respected SEN school in Middlesbrough.

We are recruiting for SEND Learning Support Assistants to work with individuals and groups across KS3 and KS4. You will be supporting in interventions and providing support in differentiated learning designed to cater to the learning needs of the pupil. You will be working cohesively with the school SENCo, and Subject Teachers.

If you are passionate about inclusion and ensuring all children receive access to cohesive Teaching & Learning through support both academically and pastorally to support students in their independence in each of their individual learning journeys.

The job

• The school is looking for someone who is passionate about inclusion and providing additional support, to provide the very best opportunity for allocated students.
• You will work with the subject specialist teachers who will provide their expertise in supporting you with the subject matter to enable you to deliver engaging learning support.
• To provide specialist subject expertise to assist students, completing reports and providing feedback on student progress as appropriate.

The successful candidate will

• Have experience working with children of a Secondary age in a Learning Support environment.
• Have the confidence and ability to challenge negative behaviours and re-focus learning engagement.
• Have an understanding of SEND and provide a calm and nurturing learning environment.
• Experience of supporting students with SEN needs such as ASC, SEMH and complex needs
