Support Worker (Children / Crisis Care / HCA) – Middlesbrough

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people?

We’re seeking Support Workers to provide care and stability to Looked After Children (LAC) aged 10–18 in unregulated placements across Middlesbrough.

What you’ll do:

• Support children with day-to-day life skills.
• Provide a safe, nurturing environment.
• Work with social workers, schools & health teams.
• Respond to challenging behaviours with compassion.

What you need:

• Experience with vulnerable young people (LAC or similar).
• Knowledge of safeguarding & trauma-informed care.
• Flexibility for evenings, weekends & sleep-ins.
• Driving licence & own vehicle.

Desirable:

• Level 3 Diploma in Childcare or Health & Social Care.
• Previous work in unregulated settings.
• PMVA/MAPA or similar training.
