We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Protection Social Worker to join our team. This role offers a chance to make a significant impact on the lives of vulnerable children within our organization.

Position description / Job description
  • Conduct thorough assessments of children's needs and circumstances.
  • Develop and implement care plans to safeguard children's welfare.
  • Liaise with families, schools, and other agencies to coordinate support services.
  • Attend court hearings and provide expert testimony when required.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of casework activities.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of child protection policies and procedures.
  • Participate in regular supervision and team meetings.
  • Advocate for the rights and well-being of children.
Expectations / Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A relevant social work qualification (BA, MA, DipSW or equivalent).
  • Significant experience in child protection work.
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and report writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Resilience and ability to manage a demanding workload.
  • Commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards.
  • A valid driving license and access to a car (advantageous).
