Customer Advice and Support Worker (Temporary – 3 Months Initially, with Possible Extension)Adult Social Care The OpportunityWe’re currently seeking a motivated and passionate Customer Advice and Support Worker to join our dynamic Adult Social Care and Health Integration team. This is a temporary position for an initial period of 3 months, with the potential for extension.About Middlesbrough CouncilAt Middlesbrough Council, our values guide everything we do. We are committed to improving the lives of our residents, achieving the best possible outcomes, and working creatively to provide the support our communities need.About the RoleYou’ll play a key role in our Accessing Change Together (ACT) programme—a collaborative, multi-agency initiative bringing together council services and partner organisations. ACT supports individuals facing complex challenges such as domestic abuse, and substance misuse.Working within one of our three integrated ACT teams—Front Door, Housing Solutions, or Community Interventions—you will contribute to shared caseloads and help develop person-centred support plans. This multi-disciplinary approach ensures service users receive timely, coordinated interventions that address their individual needs.You’ll also work closely with colleagues in Adult and Children’s Social Care, Public Health, and other partners to develop consistent pathways and improve outcomes.What We’re Looking ForWe’re looking for individuals who:
  • Have experience working across services in social care, domestic abuse, or related areas
  • Are passionate about supporting vulnerable individuals
  • Possess the resilience, creativity, and teamwork skills required to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
