We are seeking a dedicated Team Manager to lead a team of social workers in supporting children and young people in the care of the local authority. This pivotal role involves overseeing care plans, ensuring statutory compliance, and promoting the best outcomes for looked after children. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of child protection and welfare, and a commitment to advocating for the needs of vulnerable children.

Day to day of the role:
  • Lead and manage a team of social workers, providing supervision, guidance, and support.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of care plans for looked after children.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and best practice standards.
  • Promote the safety, well-being, and development of children in care.
  • Collaborate with other professionals and agencies to achieve positive outcomes for children.
  • Monitor and evaluate team performance and service delivery to ensure continuous improvement.
