Role:- Systems Engineer

Location - Middlesbrough Area - Hybrid

Salary - 40 - 50K

Key Responsibilities

  • Design with Impact: Create robust systems tailored to customer needs, using components built to last in real-world environments.
  • Customer Collaboration: Lead design reviews, stay in regular contact, and support testing to keep projects aligned and on track.
  • Testing & Commissioning: Produce test documentation, run Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), and travel to site for setup and commissioning.
  • Lifecycle Support: Work with ILS engineers to deliver clear support materials and help create effective training content.
  • Supplier Coordination: Liaise with subcontractors to ensure quality, consistency, and seamless integration of outsourced work.
  • On-Site Delivery: Carry out surveys, commissioning, and system testing to ensure everything works as intended in the field.

Requirements

  • Strong customer-facing skills 
  • Clear, professional writing 
  • Understanding of through-life 
  • Hands-on with Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) 
  • Proven experience designing and building medium to large-scale systems
  • End-to-end project delivery

Nice to have

  • Software or Automation experience
  • Knowledge of EMC testing to military standards
  • Familiarity with military-level environmental testing
  • Experience delivering systems for the military
