Maintenance Manager (M&E) - Seal Sands
My client is a bulk liquid storage provider operating terminals strategically placed across the UK. They currently require a maintenance manager to be based at their site at Seals Sands on a permanent basis.
Role:
- Responsible for day-to-day oversight of terminals maintenance staff, planning and executing all maintenance activities associated with the safe and efficient running of the regions.
- Responsible for preparing a rolling weekly and monthly lookahead for planned/unplanned works.
- Lead a team of maintenance technicians across multiple sites.
- Ensure the reliability, safety, and efficiency of all equipment and facilities.
- The maintenance supervisor is responsible for scheduling work, supervising technicians and ensure methods are appropriate and risks assessed and suitably controlled.
- Ensuring compliance with all legislative, industry and site regulations.
- STOP work authority for any activity that is deemed unsafe.
- Line management of maintenance technicians and discipline supervisors.
- Supervise and assign daily tasks to maintenance staff, ensuring efficient workflow.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify maintenance needs.
- Provide training and mentorship to maintenance personnel to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Ensure all mandatory training is completed within the maintenance team.
- Planning and management of asset inspections.
- Ensure adequate support out of hours.
- Any other tasks that may arise in the day-to-day functionality of this position.
- Provide technical expertise as required by the terminal and UK business.
- Provide assistance to terminal emergency response and UK as detailed in the emergency plan.
- Ensure the UK Policy and Procedure on site security is adhered to.
Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering discipline or equivalent.
- Chartered Engineer or working towards chartership.
- NEBOSH qualification in health and safety or equivalent.
- Experience leading engineering / maintenance teams on Oil/Chemical Terminals or COMAH sites.
- Multi-disciplinary maintenance management including electrical and mechanical disciplines.
- Effective analysis and utilisation of data to identify trends and inform decision making.
- Management of CMMS.
- Budgeting/budget management.
- Working knowledge of COMAH, Confined Space Regs, LOLER, WAH, COSHH, CDM, DSEAR/ATEX, PUWER, PED and PSSR.
Salary:
65k-70k per annum DOE
