Temporary Accounts Payable Officer – Immediate Start Location: Middlewich (Onsite)

We are currently supporting our client based in Middlewich with the recruitment of a Temporary Accounts Payable Officer to provide essential finance support over the next three months. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced AP professional who enjoys working in a busy environment and has strong attention to detail.

The Role:

  • Processing 200–300 invoices per month, ensuring accuracy and timely posting.
  • Handling queries and resolving discrepancies efficiently.
  • Maintaining up-to-date records.
  • Assisting with payment runs and ensuring suppliers are paid within agreed terms.
  • Supporting the wider finance team with ad-hoc tasks as required.

The Person:

  • Previous experience in accounts payable / purchase ledger is essential.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage high-volume processing.
  • Excellent attention to detail – able to spot and resolve discrepancies quickly.
  • Confident communicator with both internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Systems savvy – proficient in finance systems and Excel.
