gap technical are proud to be representing this manufacturing business in their search for an Assistant Engineer / Technician to work at their facility based near Middlewich
Performance Objectives
- The Assistant Engineer will provide both proactive and reactive support for all automated systems on site. You'll be working in a fast-paced environment where your efforts directly impact operational performance, equipment availability, and site productivity.
- Respond to conveyor system jams and stoppages
- Reset emergency stop buttons as required
- Log issues and complete maintenance records using computerised systems
- Always promote and maintain safe working practices, escalating H&S concerns as needed
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by reporting recurring issues and suggesting solutions
- Ensure high availability of equipment to support warehouse operations
- Conduct routine cleaning of automation equipment in line with hygiene standards
Person Specification
- Basic qualifications & computer literacy.
- Good level of communication.
- Understanding of safe systems of work.
- Experience with conveyor systems
- Experience of planned preventative maintenance programmes.
- Experience with MHE (Material Handling Equipment)/Automation systems and their technical components. (Highly Desirable)
