A growing engineering manufacturer in Suffolk is looking for a Quality Engineer to strengthen their quality function and support the delivery of high-standard products. This hands-on role works closely with the Quality Manager, customers, and suppliers to ensure smooth processes and continuous improvement.
Pay & Hours:
- 35,000 - 45,000 per annum (depending on experience)
- 08:00 - 17:00, Monday to Friday
- Full-time, permanent position
What you will be doing:
- Supporting the Quality Manager with all quality-related activities
- Maintaining communication with customers and suppliers as required
- Managing the non-conformance register and producing monthly KPIs
- Analysing customer performance metrics and targets
- Assisting with customer audits and visiting customer sites for meetings/reviews
- Conducting internal audits to ensure compliance with the quality management system
- Implementing corrective actions to prevent recurring quality issues
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the business
- Any other duties as directed by the Quality Manager
Who are we looking for?
- Previous experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing/fabrication environment
- Knowledge of ISO9001 requirements and processes
- Strong technical problem-solving skills in a live production environment
- Ability to read technical drawings and discuss technical issues professionally
- Computer literate and comfortable learning new systems
- Self-motivated, organised, and able to prioritise workload
- Driving licence and willingness to travel within the UK
- Project management experience is desirable
