A growing engineering manufacturer in Suffolk is looking for a Quality Engineer to strengthen their quality function and support the delivery of high-standard products. This hands-on role works closely with the Quality Manager, customers, and suppliers to ensure smooth processes and continuous improvement.

Pay & Hours:

  • 35,000 - 45,000 per annum (depending on experience)
  • 08:00 - 17:00, Monday to Friday
  • Full-time, permanent position

What you will be doing:

  • Supporting the Quality Manager with all quality-related activities
  • Maintaining communication with customers and suppliers as required
  • Managing the non-conformance register and producing monthly KPIs
  • Analysing customer performance metrics and targets
  • Assisting with customer audits and visiting customer sites for meetings/reviews
  • Conducting internal audits to ensure compliance with the quality management system
  • Implementing corrective actions to prevent recurring quality issues
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the business
  • Any other duties as directed by the Quality Manager

Who are we looking for?

  • Previous experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing/fabrication environment
  • Knowledge of ISO9001 requirements and processes
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills in a live production environment
  • Ability to read technical drawings and discuss technical issues professionally
  • Computer literate and comfortable learning new systems
  • Self-motivated, organised, and able to prioritise workload
  • Driving licence and willingness to travel within the UK
  • Project management experience is desirable
