Involve Recruitment are looking for a Domestic Plumbing & Heating Supervisor to supervise a multi-skilled team of engineers and support staff. Reporting to the Senior Maintenance Manager, you’ll oversee the smooth delivery of planned and reactive mechanical works across a number of designated properties, combining technical oversight with hands-on involvement where required.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensuring all works adhere to current safety, environmental, quality and compliance standards, along with internal policies and relevant legislation

  • Coordinating a well-resourced engineering team to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and to agreed targets

  • Leading and motivating the mechanical team while providing guidance and development to junior staff and apprentices

  • Maintaining clear communication channels with the wider maintenance and management teams

  • Monitoring project progress, scope, and cost control to meet performance indicators

  • Keeping senior management updated on project status, risks and team performance

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required

  • Evidence of delivering multiple mechanical or maintenance projects safely and in line with organisational processes

  • Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder-management abilities, with a collaborative and results-driven approach

  • Ability to manage conflict confidently and apply calm, analytical problem-solving skills

  • Solid working knowledge of mechanical systems with current Gas Safe and OFTEC accreditation

Essential & Desirable Qualifications

  • Valid Gas Safe registration

  • OFTEC certification

  • SMSTS or SSSTS

  • CSCS card (any relevant category)

  • First Aid at Work (Desirable)

  • Strong grasp of budgets and resource planning

  • Quality-driven mindset

  • Good understanding of H&S and environmental compliance

  • Customer-focused approach

  • Effective team leadership and communication skills
