Estimator - Steel Fabrication / Offsite Construction
Location: Bedfordshire
Salary: 40,000 - 45,000

We're working with a well-established construction and engineering business experiencing strong growth and increased tendering activity. They're looking to expand their estimating team with a skilled Estimator who has experience in steelwork, metal fabrication, or offsite construction.
The Role
You'll be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and tender submissions using in house tools. This is an office-based position working alongside a collaborative commercial team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender documents.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Use in-house Excel-based estimating software and Bluebeam for measurement and take-off.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing and technical input.
- Support continuous improvement of estimating processes.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous estimating experience in structural steelwork, fabrication, or a related offsite construction environment.
- Proficiency in Excel; experience with Bluebeam advantageous.
- Strong numerical and analytical ability.
- Detail-oriented, organised, and a good communicator.
