Butler Rose is delighted to be working alongside our public sector client based in Milton Keynes in their search for a Management Accountant - Systems Support to join their Finance Business Services team. This is a contract role until 31st December, and will pay up to £29.76 per hour PAYE. This role forms part of the Finance Business Services (FBS) team, providing systems support for the Universitys budgeting, forecasting, and reporting platforms-primarily SAP BPC (Business Planning and Consolidation), including Staff Cost Forecasting (SCF) and Forecasting and Budget modules. Responsible for the day-to-day administration of BPC systems, ensuring data integrity, user support, and process efficiency. Collaboration with Finance, IT, and other departments is essential to deliver accurate reporting tools and support key financial activities. Key Responsibilities Open and close SAP BPC budgeting and forecasting models on a monthly cycle Update system dimensions and conduct reconciliations to ensure accurate data flow Maintain and refresh input forms and system dimensions weekly Manage Business Process Flow (BPF) templates and user access permissions Create and maintain user-specific reports and input templates Resolve user queries and escalate to IT support where necessary, tracking through to resolution Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver solutions that meet budgeting and reporting requirements Provide support to business partners during forecasting, budgeting, and reporting processes Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement Respond to changing business requirements and adapt system processes accordingly Candidate Requirements Essential: Experience with SAP BPC (Business Planning & Consolidation), ideally including SCF and Forecasting modules Desirable: Familiarity with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Background in accounting with strong ability to interpret and communicate financial data Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills Collaborative working style with experience across multiple departments Prior experience supporting financial systems in a complex or large organisation higher education sector experience considered an advantage.
