Why This Field Service Engineer Role?
As part of a dynamic operations team, youll play a key role in installing, maintaining, and commissioning advanced technology across multiple sectors, including highways, local authorities, and private contracts. Youll have the autonomy to manage your work from a home base while collaborating with a forward-thinking team that values efficiency, precision, and innovation.
Your Role
- Install, maintain, and commission traffic measurement equipment, signalling systems, and specialist infrastructure solutions.
- Troubleshoot faults, problem-solve technical issues, and ensure high-performance service delivery.
- Work independently while collaborating with a diverse team of professionals.
- Operate power tools, generators, and other specialist equipment with precision and care.
- Travel within the UK, occasionally overseas, to support project implementations.
The Essential Things Were Looking For
- A Full UK driving licence.
- Previous Field Service Engineer role experience.
- Strong MS Office skills and familiarity with PC-based technologies.
- A logical mindset with excellent fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
- CSCS, SWQR Operative, or Supervisor qualifications.
- Customer-focused communication skills, ensuring top-tier service.
Desirables
- Previous experience working on Highways or Traffic Control Equipment.
- Holder of Electrical qualifications such as: ECS card, 17th or 18th edition wiring regs.
- Highways Electrical Certification or HERS portfolio evidence.
