I have partnered exclusively with this long running and successful business to support in their search for an Installation Technician to join the team. The base site is Milton Keynes but this role will involve travel across the UK using the company vehicle to make deliveries and collections for the business. Experience of driving vehicles with trailers or caravans would be beneficial. As it involves commercial driving, you will need to have C1 & C1E on your driving licence with a valid driver CPC card. As you are going across the UK, this might involve overnight hotel stays due to distance. It is usually one night at a time and can be up to 3 times per month depending on business needs with hotel and meal expenses
You will also need to install and de-install equipment on site so knowledge of basic plumbing and electrical work would be good - good home DIY knowledge would be a minimum but bodge jobs do not count! If you have any electrician qualifications, this would be an added bonus.
Working as part of a small but close team, you will support each other with assistance, technical knowledge and experience regarding equipment, installation and operation.
Overall, we also want you to be comfortable providing an outstanding level of service to customers.
In addition to the above, you will be responsible for the vehicle's day to day up keep including performing and documenting the daily vehicle and trailer checks on the daily check sheets provided reporting any defects, keeping the vehicles clean and tidy and using the tachograph as required by law when driving.
When not out and about, you will assist in the warehouse including maintenance and cleaning of products as well as preparation for future use.
Hours are 37.5 per week Monday to Friday 7.5 working hours per day and 1 hour unpaid lunch. 25 days annual leave per year. Salary dependant on experience but in the region of £28k to £30k + OT with the potential to increase salary based on performance over the year.
