Macildowie are working with this client based in Milton Keynes to recruit a Legal Cashier on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly regarded legal and professional services firm that prides itself on providing exceptional service and an engaging workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily banking and reconciliation of client and office accounts
  • Processing incoming and outgoing payments, including BACS, CHAPS and cheque payments
  • Handling petty cash, issuing receipts and maintaining full audit trails
  • Liaising with banks and cash transit services
  • Ensuring compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR)
  • Maintaining and updating financial records in the firm's finance system
  • Assisting with month-end procedures and audit preparation as required

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a Legal Cashier or similar finance role within professional services
  • Experience using legal finance systems (e.g. SOS, Leap, or similar)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data reconciliation
  • High attention to detail, accuracy and time management
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • A methodical and professional approach with strong organisational skills
