Job Title: Legal Cashier Location: Milton KeynesSalary: £25,000 to £28,000 - Dependent on Experience Type: Permanent - Fully Office Based Initially - Hybrid working available after probation
Macildowie are working with this client based in Milton Keynes to recruit a Legal Cashier on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly regarded legal and professional services firm that prides itself on providing exceptional service and an engaging workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily banking and reconciliation of client and office accounts
- Processing incoming and outgoing payments, including BACS, CHAPS and cheque payments
- Handling petty cash, issuing receipts and maintaining full audit trails
- Liaising with banks and cash transit services
- Ensuring compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR)
- Maintaining and updating financial records in the firm's finance system
- Assisting with month-end procedures and audit preparation as required
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience in a Legal Cashier or similar finance role within professional services
- Experience using legal finance systems (e.g. SOS, Leap, or similar)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data reconciliation
- High attention to detail, accuracy and time management
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- A methodical and professional approach with strong organisational skills
