Our client is seeking a proactive and reliable Maintenance Operative to join their facilities team on a temporary, fixed-term contract for 2 months. This role is to cover a planned long-term absence and is not a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out basic maintenance tasks, including repairs and troubleshooting on site equipment and infrastructure.

Confident use of hand and power tools for a variety of tasks.

Perform manual handling duties as required.

Work safely and effectively at height, adhering to all safety protocols.

Participate in waste management activities, ensuring proper disposal and recycling processes are followed.

Conduct Preventive Planned Maintenance (PPM) checks using provided checklists to ensure ongoing compliance and smooth operation.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience operating a forklift (valid license preferred).
  • IPAF license for mobile elevated work platforms or banksman training
  • Solid Health & Safety awareness, including COSHH, Fire Safety Awareness, permits, and contractor management.
  • Utilise Microsoft Outlook and Excel for logging tasks, communication, and record-keeping.
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
  • Effective time management and prioritisation of tasks.
