Our client is seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Finance Manager to join their team in Milton Keynes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to take ownership of the month-end process, including preparing P&L, BS and CF with detailed variance analysis. You will also be responsible for reviewing the work of the Assistant Accountant, providing training as needed to support their growth and development.
As a Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing financial activities within the organisation. Your excellent problem-solving skills will be put to use as you handle complex tasks such as fixed assets reconciliation, calculation and booking of depreciation. You will also be responsible for maintaining the integrity of data and systems, ensuring reported financial information reconciles to underlying trial balance. Your ability to liaise effectively with key stakeholders will be essential in ensuring budgets are compiled on a timely basis. This role offers a unique blend of strategic planning and hands-on accounting work.
- Prepare P&L, BS and CF with full detailed variance analysis
- Review the work carried out by the Assistant Accountant
- Maintain and manage the Capex process including reporting, completion and post-implementation review
- Manage month end timetable as well as budgeting/ forecasting timetables
- Maintain relationship with Cynergy and complete and submit monthly reconciliations and supporting information
- Prepare, submit and reconcile regular VAT returns for the UK and Ireland
- Act as point of contact for year end audit
- Finance partnering with senior management to help support more informed decision making across the business
