This rapidly growing Environmental company is looking to recruit a passionate individual with 2 - 5 years’ experience, to join as a Geo-Environmental Specialist. 

You will be tasked with carrying out specialist gas monitoring and gas management verification services on various active construction and proposed development sites across the south of the UK.

After initial specialist training with the Head Office team, you will be assigned to the newly formed Southern Regional Office in Stevenage, where you work alongside other experienced professionals in your field.

With excellent support from the wider technical team, you will provide specialist ground gas-related services for new and existing projects. Using a range of hand-held, continuous gas monitoring and verification equipment, the role will involve data collection, analysis, verification, and reporting.

The role requires significant independent travel, some work away from home during the week, and a familiarity with site investigation and construction sites; however, your well-being is most important, so you will benefit from flexible working.  If you display a good level of general fitness, enjoy variety, being outside, and having autonomy in your work, this job could be a great fit for you!

You will be supported and trained and eventually take on more responsibility as you grow and learn.  The role would suit an enthusiastic individual who wants to develop and progress a career in the world of ground gases, across a variety of sectors.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant geo/environmental discipline or post graduate work experiences in a geo-environmental role
  • High level of computer literacy
  • Good verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience in site investigation and monitoring or work on construction sites (desirable)
  • Good decision-making ability
  • A practical aptitude and good problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to prioritise and manage workload to meet deadlines

Applicants must hold a full UK driving license and either have a post-graduate degree in a relevant geo/environmental discipline or 2-5 years practical experience in a similar role. As a Geo-Environmental Specialist, you will be supported in your technical and professional development - drawing on the wide range of expertise across the company.
