Role OverviewBased in Milton Keynes and reporting to the Managing Director, you will own site-level health and safety and support facilities administration. We're looking for someone with manufacturing, food, or FMCG experience who can work independently, set direction, implement strategy, and communicate effectively with all levels, including senior management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage health & safety across the site

  • Advise on risk reduction and safe working practices

  • Drive H&S awareness and training

  • Conduct inspections, audits, and incident reporting

  • Oversee emergency preparedness (fire drills, first aiders, fire marshals)

  • Maintain and improve policies and compliance

  • Coordinate statutory inspections (LOLER, compressed air systems)

  • Manage maintenance requests and contractors, working closely with the Facilities Officer

About YouYou have a strong manufacturing or related industry background and excel when working autonomously. Confident and proactive, you lead H&S initiatives, influence leadership, and approach challenges collaboratively with a focus on continuous improvement.

Working Hours & Location

  • Full-time, permanent

  • Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm (1-hour lunch)

  • Milton Keynes site

Qualifications

  • Experience in health & safety (manufacturing preferred)

  • Facilities admin knowledge a plus

  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety at Work Act 1974

  • IOSH or NEBOSH certification
