We are looking for a qualified and experienced Plumber/Gas engineerto join one of our market leading gas contarctorsteam in the Milton Keynesarea. The ideal candidate will have an NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing and the necessary Gas qualifications, with a passion for delivering high-quality service in Social Housing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service and maintain unvented hot water cylinders in accordance with manufacturer instructions and Part G of the Building Regulations.

  • Carry out safety checks, including inspection of pressure relief valves, temperature & pressure relief valves, and discharge pipework.

  • Test and re-pressurise expansion vessels/air gaps as required.

  • Clean strainers and filters to maintain system performance.

  • Check and test immersion heaters, thermostats, and high-limit cut-outs.

  • Diagnose and repair faults, replacing components with manufacturer-approved parts.

  • Commission new or replacement cylinders, complete all required documentation, and hand over to customers.

  • Ensure all work is completed to the highest safety standards and in line with current legislation

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing (or equivalent)
  • Gas qualifications (e.g., Gas Safe registered or in the process of becoming qualified)
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, fixtures, and materials
  • Previous experience working in plumbing and gas roles is essential
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach
  • Full UK driving license
