Role: Senior IT Field Delivery Engineer

Location: Milton Keynes

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary Package: Competitive salary plus large company benefits, a flexible benefits scheme, and two paid volunteering days per year

Hours: 9:00 am - 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday

Interview Process: Two-stage process

Role Purpose

To attend sites across Milton Keynes and surrounding areas to provide IT hardware and software support in line with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs). You will work efficiently and proactively to deliver high-quality IT support to a wide range of end users.

Security clearance, or willingness to apply, is required for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain IT hardware (PCs, laptops, printers, and peripherals) across multiple sites. This may also include basic server, AV, telephony, and network-related tasks.
  • Resolve operating system and application-related incidents following defined procedures.
  • Complete IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) tasks to required specifications.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and on-site contacts throughout the day.
  • Manage part movements (RMA generation and physical handling) promptly and accurately.
  • Meet KPIs and performance targets as defined for the role.
  • Comply with all local fire, security, and health & safety regulations.
  • Log and manage all incidents using the IT service management (ITSM) tool, ensuring resolution within SLA.
  • Keep up to date with relevant technologies and complete required training.
  • Participate in 24/7 on-call rota where applicable.
  • Be prepared to work additional hours when required.
  • Apply effective troubleshooting techniques ('Quick Wins') where suitable.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers when necessary.
  • Maintain company assets in good working condition.
  • Follow site-specific processes and procedures.
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation as needed.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties as assigned by your line manager.

Skills and Experience

  • Professional and presentable at all times
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Excellent customer-facing and communication skills
  • Eligible to obtain Government and/or Police security clearance (without caveats)
  • Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently
  • Holds or able to obtain relevant technical certifications
  • Minimum CompTIA A+ qualification or equivalent knowledge/experience
  • Strong understanding of OS admin tools, application support, and telephony
  • Comfortable working at height and performing manual handling tasks
  • Positive, team-focused attitude
