Salary: £57,307.50 (inclusive of 35% shift allowance)
Shift Pattern: 3 on / 3 off (Days & Nights rotation)
Hours: 40.25 hours per week

Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join a forward-thinking, highly automated manufacturing facility. You’ll be part of a skilled and motivated engineering team, working in a fast-paced production environment on a variety of automated lines and machinery.

This role offers excellent prospects for development — the business has strong growth plans over the next few years, creating opportunities for progression in both technical and leadership routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned, reactive, and preventative maintenance to ensure minimal downtime.

  • Diagnose and repair breakdowns efficiently across a range of automated production lines.

  • Support continuous improvement and reliability projects to enhance performance and reduce waste.

  • Conduct root cause analysis and contribute to long-term engineering solutions.

  • Work collaboratively with production teams to optimise line performance and achieve KPIs.

  • Participate in operator training and shift handovers, ensuring effective communication across teams.

  • Accurately complete maintenance documentation and support site safety and hygiene standards.

Key Requirements
  • Apprentice-trained or Level 3 equivalent in Electrical Engineering (City & Guilds or similar).

  • Strong electrical bias (approx. 70/30) with mechanical competency.

  • Background in fast-paced, automated manufacturing or process environments.

  • Experience with SCADA, CMMS, and PLC fault-finding (Allen Bradley / Siemens S7).

  • Knowledge of SMED, continuous improvement, or reliability engineering principles.

  • Proactive, motivated, and eager to develop technically and professionally.
