Industrious Recruitment are seeking a Engineering Manager for our client in Milton Keynes.

To lead and manage the mechanical and electrical engineering functions across the business, ensuring all projects, maintenance, and compliance activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest technical standards. The M&E Engineering Manager will oversee a team of engineers and contractors, providing technical expertise, project management, and operational leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the design, installation, maintenance, and repair of all mechanical and electrical systems.

  • Lead a multidisciplinary team of M&E engineers, technicians, and external contractors.

  • Oversee the delivery of capital projects, refurbishments, and service contracts.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including Health & Safety, Building Regulations, and environmental standards.

  • Prepare and manage departmental budgets, forecasts, and cost control measures.

  • Provide technical leadership and act as the subject matter expert for all M&E-related matters.

  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure appropriate safety controls and procedures are implemented.

  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies to optimise asset performance and minimise downtime.

  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality service delivery.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, energy efficiency, and sustainability within engineering operations.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.

  • Proven experience in managing M&E operations, ideally within a facilities, construction, or manufacturing environment.

  • Strong leadership and people management skills.

  • Excellent understanding of M&E systems, including HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, fire systems, and control systems

  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills.
