Responsibilities and duties of the Air Source Heat Pump Engineer role

Reporting to the Directors you will:

  • Install and commission air source heat pump systems in domestic properties
  • Refining systems for maximum efficiency and performance
  • Ensure all installations are completed to a high standard, following industry best practices and compliance requirements
  • Communicate clearly with customers and represent the company's ethos on-site
  • Occasionally assist in surveying properties and feeding into design decisions (especially if you have experience in this area)


Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

  • Proven experience installing air source heat pump systems (essential)
  • A solid understanding of system design, including hydraulics, pressure drops, flow rates, etc.
  • Heat Geek or Heat Pump Installer training
  • NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing and Heating
  • Water Regulations (WRAS)
  • Part L Energy Efficiency Certificate
  • Unvented Hot Water Systems (G3) Certificate
  • ASHP Installation & Maintenance (LCL/BPEC/City & Guilds)
  • H2X Design Software or other CAD tools is a nice to have
