The business has an established customer base within specialist automotive and Formula 1 industries, focusing on low-volume production and short lead times.

Role Overview:
The CNC Miller Setter Operator will play an integral role within the manufacturing team, setting and operating a variety of machining centres across the facility. This position requires experience in a fast-paced precision engineering environment, with a focus on maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set and operate 3 and 5 axis CNC machining centres
  • Carry out in-process dimensional and visual checks using appropriate measurement equipment
  • Machine a wide range of metals and plastics accurately and efficiently
  • Communicate clearly with colleagues and provide concise feedback to operators and engineers
  • Work to production deadlines and manage multiple machines as required
  • Problem-solve independently and work with a high level of autonomy

Experience and Competencies:

  • Proven experience as a Setter/Operator on CNC machining centres, ideally in a precision engineering or prototype environment
  • Good working knowledge of Heidenhain, Hurco, or Mazatrol controls
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Proficient in using measurement tools for in-process checks
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team
