We are currently recruiting for a Laboratory Assistant to join a company based in Milton Keynes. Our client are the market leader within their industry, and recruiting due to continued growth! Please note, this role is a temporary FTC position for 3-months, however, could be extended or lead to permanent employment.

Location: Milton Keynes.

Working Hours: 08:00am - 16:00pm, Monday to Friday, fully office based (NO remote working).

Contract Type: FTC - 3 months, however, could be extended or lead to permanent employment.

Overview:

  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and semi experienced Lab assistant to support with our client's daily operations within their laboratory. The candidate will assist in maintaining good laboratory practices and ensuring a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist lab technicians to store and organize samples properly.
  • Dispose of chemical waste safely.
  • Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are followed.
  • Clean and organize lab glassware in designated areas.
  • Assist with samples preparations for testing.
  • Supporting with data analysing.
  • Completing data entry duties, and updating internal departments.
  • Working to deadlines, ensuring client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a lab environment (preferred).
  • A-level or degree level within sciences, preferred but not essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of basic lab equipment and safety procedures would be preferred, but full training will be provided.
  • Knowledge of the food production industry.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Comfortable with handling chemicals.
