Macildowie are working with this client based in Milton Keynes to recruit an experienced Cashier for a 12-month maternity cover contract, with the opportunity for a temp-to-perm transition.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established professional services firm, working in a busy and high-performing finance function.

Salary: Up to £15 per hour (Dependent on experience) Type: Fixed-Term Contract (12 months), Temp to PermWorking Pattern: Hybrid (3-5 days in office depending on experience)Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (9am - 5.30pm, 1-hour lunch break)

The Role:

This position forms a vital part of the firm's finance team, reporting into the Senior Cashier. You will be responsible for:

  • Managing day-to-day bank transactions and client account completions
  • Handling client funds with precision, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Liaising regularly with banks, auditors, fee earners, and other internal stakeholders
  • Processing staff expenses, managing the purchase ledger and supplier invoicing
  • Coding invoices and maintaining the finance inbox
  • Posting transactions using the 3E finance system

What we're looking for:

  • Previous experience in a finance function, ideally within legal or professional services
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to thrive under pressure
  • Excellent initiative and communication skills
  • Familiarity with partnership accounts is advantageous
  • A full UK driving licence is essential
