Class 1 Night Driver
Location: Milton Keynes. MK15 8BA
Shift times: Monday to Friday starting between 8pm and 10pm (10 - 12-hour shifts)
Pay Rate: 18 per hour

Our client is a third-party provider of transportation and logistics services that offers a range of services from, Drayage, Global freight forwarding & Full truckload transport. The company is committed to environmental sustainability and works with customers to create action plans to reduce emissions.

We're looking for full-time, Class 1 Night Drivers to join us at our site in Milton Keynes. This role is temp to perm for the ideal candidate and will involve the loading / unloading roll cages filled with customer car parts. The shifts will be Monday to Friday where you will start at midnight and typically work between 10 and 12 hours.

Due to the customers not operating at night you must be comfortable working on your own during the night and be able to follow customer specific instructions to gain access to the various sites.

What you'll do on a typical shift:

• Multidrop deliveries between customer sites
• Operate alone unloading roll cages and palletised goods (with pallet truck) during the night
• Unlocking client locations and ensuring site is fully secured before leaving
• Adhere to all customer site security and procedures
• Safely operate your vehicle adhering to business standards.
• Using a handheld scanner and completing relevant paperwork
• Vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with VOSA.

What you need to succeed with our client

• Must have a multidrop experience!
• HGV1 licence, Digital Tachograph Card, Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
• No more than six penalty points on your licence and no DD, DR, IN or CD endorsements.
• A valid CPC and Digital Tacho card.
• Multidrop delivery experience.
• Excellent knowledge of the UK road network.
• A can-do attitude
