Policy and Public Affairs Officer

Milton Keynes

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute daily to the charity's daily advocacy and policy work
  • Conduct research and analysis to drive the charity's policy agenda
  • Engage with a wide range of stakeholders including parliamentarians, other charities and wider sector stakeholders
  • Represent the charity at events, conferences and forums
  • Assist in report preparations and present findings to a range of audiences
  • Write briefings and contribute to the writing of responses to government papers and consultations
  • Work closely with other teams to keep up-to-date with developments online and in the news

Profile

Policy and Public Affairs Officer

Essential:

  • Working knowledge of Westminster and Whitehall
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate to a range of audiences
