Filling and Packing Technician

Location: Milton Keynes

Duration: 6 months initially

Rate: Up to 17.08 PAYE

We have an opportunity for a Production Technician to join our Filling and Packing team within our company.

The successful candidate will work with the team to ensure accurate and timely packing of product for dispatch to customers, attention to detail is critical.

All work must be performed in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

Duties and Responsibilities:

The main duties will be:

  • Printing, picking and preparing production packaging.
  • Packing product in accordance with the schedule.
  • Set up and use of filling and labelling machines, with defined routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Accurate record keeping and documentation.
  • Support in GMP production environments with inspection and preparation of vaccine products.
  • General housekeeping and cleaning of the production areas
  • Input into department schedule

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

  • Good standard of education, GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
  • Excellent attention to detail and a willingness to learn new skills
  • A safety-conscious mindset: demonstrating awareness and understanding of Health and Safety practices; a willingness to learn and apply safe working practices; to raise safety concerns and support the department in continuous improvement activities.
  • Ability to communicate with others and to work to deadlines
  • Good record-keeping
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Excel
  • Be able to carry out physically demanding work including repetitive lifting of items up to 5kg and occasional lifting of items up to 30kg

Desirable

Experience in:

  • A cGMP manufacturing environment, production, packing or warehouse.
  • Full UK driving licence
