The Company
A regional contractor in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, is offering an exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team. The company focuses on Industrial and Commercial new build projects, experiencing annual turnover growth and employing over 50 staff.
With a busy 2025 ahead, the company is expanding its commercial team to meet project demands. They are looking for a Quantity Surveyor with a Main Contractor background to support the Commercial Director, handling pre- and post-contract commercial work.
The role
The role involves managing Commercial activities, building relationships internally and externally, and contributing to project success.
This role offers a hybrid working setup, combining office-based work in Milton Keynes with site visits.
Reporting to the Commercial Director, the Quantity Surveyor will oversee 1-2 projects, including industrial and commercial schemes like warehouses and office blocks. The ideal candidate should have experience running schemes independently, possess strong I.T skills, a solid grasp of design & construction processes, and relevant construction qualifications.
Background/Experience: Quantity Surveyor
- You will be an experienced Quantity Surveyor who is capable of running 1-2 schemes independently
- You will have worked on industrial or commercial new build schemes.
- You will live within a commutable distance of the office in Milton Keynes - Buckinghamshire, Northamptonshire, and Bedfordshire, all being good locations.
- Strong I.T skills
- A strong understanding of the design & construction processes
- Some form of construction qualification
