Quantity Surveyor – National Property Services Contractor
Location: Milton Keynes (Hybrid: 2 days WFH)
Salary: Up to £55,000 + £450/month car allowance + 27 days holiday

Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a background in refurbishment projects? Do you thrive on managing multiple workstreams while ensuring commercial control from start to finish? If so, this is an excellent opportunity to join a leading national property services contractor, based out of their modern office near Milton Keynes.

The Role

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of refurbishment and social housing projects. You’ll take full commercial responsibility across the project lifecycle, working closely with stakeholders to drive value, reduce risk, and ensure smooth financial management.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and monitoring the CVR process.

  • Procuring and managing subcontractors.

  • Preparing, submitting, and agreeing variations.

  • Working with Schedules of Rates and ensuring accurate reporting.

  • Preparing and maintaining Excel-based project documentation.

  • Driving commercial best practice and risk avoidance strategies.

  • Communicating effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams.

About You

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Proven experience in refurbishment projects (social housing experience highly desirable).

  • Strong knowledge of CVRs, subcontractor procurement, SORs, and variations.

  • Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills.

  • High-level Excel skills and strong reporting ability.

  • Confidence in liaising with stakeholders at all levels.

  • A proactive, organised approach to managing multiple projects.
