Quantity Surveyor

We're looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Natural Resources, Nuclear & Networks team based in Leighton Buzzard working on the Thames Water framework

Location: Leighton Buzzard or Gerrards Cross- mixture of home and office working and occasional travel to various sites in the surrounding areas

Hours: 45 hours per week – some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us

What will you be responsible for?

As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the commercial team, supporting them in assisting in the commercial management of the project at construction phase.

Your day to day will include:

• Working alongside the project delivery team, you will ensure the contractual control and cost management of projects across different sectors
• Having exposure to the full project lifecycle with involvement across pre-construction through to project delivery
• Manage the commercial aspects of subcontract accounts from procurement to interim and final account agreement and be involved with the final account negotiation to ensure the best possible outcome

What are we looking for?

This role of Quantity Surveyor is great for you if you hold:

• A relevant academic qualification in a construction related degree
• A full driving licence
• Prior experience working in a commercial role for a contractor
• Experience with a variety of contract forms
• The ability to work collaboratively and part of a team
