About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Instructor of Motor Vehicles to join a dedicated and supportive team in Milton Keynes. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced motor vehicle instructor or technician looking to inspire young learners and help them gain valuable vocational skills.

You will lead the delivery of basic motor vehicle studies, preparing students for accredited qualifications (SEG in Motor Vehicles) and ensuring a safe, well-equipped workshop environment. The role combines hands-on teaching, workshop management, and the opportunity to make a lasting impact on learners with diverse educational needs. A successful candidate needs to be confident supporting individuals with additional learning needs and associated behavioural challenges.

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging, practical lessons covering areas such as health and safety, engine building, and general maintenance.
* Prepare and support students to achieve recognised qualifications in motor vehicle studies.
* Manage the workshop and maintain a safe, well-organised learning space with appropriate tools and materials.
* Develop schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessments to track and support student progress.
* Promote excellent attendance, engagement, and course completion.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant Health & Safety and safeguarding policies.
* Create tailored learning resources and activities to meet individual student needs.
* Support enrichment activities, trips, and extra-curricular opportunities linked to the subject.
* Effectively manage student behaviour and contribute to the wider pastoral life of the school.

About You
* Qualified to Level 2 or above in a relevant subject area, with a recognised trade qualification (Essential).
* Experience teaching or instructing motor vehicle studies, ideally within a school or vocational setting.
* Confident managing and motivating students with social, emotional, or behavioural challenges.
* Strong communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
* Enthusiastic, reliable, and adaptable - with a genuine passion for helping young people achieve their potential.
* Committed to maintaining high professional standards and continuous improvement.
