Are you an Accounts Assistant looking for the next challenge in your career? My client is looking for an Accounts Assistant who can provide backfill support for transaction processing whilst the team conducts testing as part of a SAP upgrade. You will have the opportunity to carry out supplier statement reconciliations, investigating and resolving differences.

As an Accounts Assistant you will be given responsibility for resolving supplier invoice queries and processing consolidated invoices. You will work to process consolidated invoices and progress balances for refunds.

Key responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant

  • Manage and resolve supplier invoice queries
  • Carry out supplier statement reconciliations, investigating and resolving differences
  • Progress balances for refunds
  • Process consolidated invoices
  • Process donation transactions
  • Carry out administrative tasks to support the wider team
  • Provide daily support in processing invoices for student fee income
  • Process bank statement entries into the ledger
  • Maintain compliance with GDPR and wider policies within the organisation

Required skills and experience of the Accounts Assistant

  • Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processing experience
  • Strong book-keeping skills and knowledge
  • Excellent relationship building skills with an ability to drive continuous improvement
  • Capable of adapting to new financial systems and processes
  • Able to prioritise tasks in a busy workload
  • Understanding of VAT rules
  • Knowledge of GDPR with regards to data management
  • AAT qualified
