The Ideal Candidate: Curriculum Planning and Development:
  • Develop and deliver an engaging Computing curriculum aligned with national standards.

  • Plan lessons that meet the diverse learning needs and abilities of students.

Classroom Instruction:
  • Deliver high-quality, engaging Computing lessons across KS3 and KS4.

  • Teach key topics such as computer science, programming, digital literacy, and e-safety.

  • Use a variety of teaching strategies, resources, and technology to enhance learning.

  • Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation.

Assessment and Evaluation:
  • Regularly assess student progress using formative and summative assessments.

Differentiation & Individualised Support:
  • Adapt teaching to support students of all abilities.

  • Provide additional support or challenge where appropriate to help every student reach their potential.

Parent & Stakeholder Communication:

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and participate in parent–teacher meetings.

Professional Development:
  • Stay informed on developments in computing and digital education.

  • Engage in ongoing CPD to continuously enhance teaching practice.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Computing, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s desirable).

  • Teaching certification/licence for secondary education with a Computing specialism.

  • Proven experience teaching Computing at secondary level.

  • Strong knowledge of computer science, programming, and digital technologies.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
