Salary: £29,344 – £44,919 (MPS/UPS)

Supply Desk is pleased to be working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in Milton Keynes, rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, to recruit a committed and passionate English Teacher for a full-time position starting in September 2025.

The school is known for its strong academic performance and supportive leadership. The Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team are seeking an inspiring teacher of English who can contribute to the continued success of the department and motivate students to reach their full potential.

This role is ideal for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are eager to develop their skills within a positive and progressive school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach English across Key Stages 3 to 5, delivering high-quality and engaging lessons

• Support students in achieving strong outcomes at GCSE and A-Level

• Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development

• Use assessment effectively to monitor progress and adapt teaching accordingly

• Promote a love of literature and language both in and beyond the classroom

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent

• A current DBS certificate or willingness to apply for one

• Ability to provide references covering the last two years

• Confidence in teaching English at Key Stage 3 and 4 (KS5 experience desirable)
