Your Role
  • Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging English lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching A-Level English depending on experience.

  • Foster a love of literature, writing, and critical thinking, helping students develop strong literacy skills.

  • Create a positive, supportive classroom environment where all students feel confident to express their ideas.

  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve and achieve their potential.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan cross-curricular projects, share best practice, and contribute to wider school life.

  • Support students in preparing for exams, offering guidance with revision strategies, essay writing, and exam technique.

Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Holds a relevant degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

  • Passionate about teaching English with strong curriculum knowledge at KS3, KS4, and potentially KS5.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.

  • Organised, creative, and capable of planning inspiring and challenging lessons.
