We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Head of Mathematics to lead a thriving department in a well-regarded secondary school in Milton Keynes. The Role:
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Maths department across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Oversee the planning, delivery, and assessment of a rigorous and engaging curriculum.
  • Support and mentor a team of Maths teachers, promoting collaborative practice and professional growth.
  • Use data to monitor student progress, identify trends, and implement targeted interventions.
  • Lead on curriculum development, assessment design, and whole-school numeracy initiatives.
  • Contribute to the wider school leadership team and play a key role in raising standards across the board.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong track record of outstanding Maths teaching.
  • Proven experience in middle leadership or a readiness to step into a leadership role.
  • Deep understanding of the KS3 and KS4 Maths curriculum, including assessment frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to inclusive education, high expectations, and continuous improvement.
