This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and dedicated educator to take the next step in their teaching career. The successful candidate will lead our Physics department, championing academic excellence, innovation, and a love of learning within the sciences. As Head of Physics, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the department and supporting both students and colleagues in achieving outstanding outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:-
Lead the Physics department in delivering a high-quality, engaging, and challenging curriculum across all key stages.

Support and develop the Physics teaching team through mentoring, training, and collaborative planning.

Monitor and track student progress, implementing interventions and strategies to ensure academic success.

Work closely with senior leaders to drive whole-school improvement initiatives within STEM education.

Contribute to the wider science faculty and school community through enrichment activities and cross-curricular projects.

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.

Proven UK teaching experience in Physics at the secondary level.

Enhanced DBS check (on the update service or willing to apply).

Previous Head of Physics experience is highly desirable.

A passion for subject leadership and a strong track record of raising student achievement.
