Are you a passionate and dedicated Humanities Teacher ready for your next permanent opportunity? We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced History and/or Geography Teacher to join a vibrant and supportive secondary school in Milton Keynes from September 2025.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed Humanities specialist to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons in either History, Geography, or a combination of both.

About the Role:

As a Humanities Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality education that encourages a love for learning in either History, Geography, or both. You will be working as part of a collaborative and experienced Humanities department with a strong focus on academic excellence and pupil development. This is a full-time, permanent position offering excellent progression opportunities within a well-respected school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach History and/or Geography to students aged 11-16 across Key Stages 3 and 4.

  • Plan, prepare and deliver lessons that are engaging, inclusive and in line with the national curriculum.

  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support academic growth.

  • Contribute to a positive school culture, taking an active role in departmental planning and whole-school initiatives.

  • Uphold and promote the values and ethos of the school.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential

  • Proven UK teaching experience within the Humanities curriculum (History and/or Geography)

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

  • Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for delivering outstanding lessons

  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build rapport with students of varying abilities
