Are you an experienced HLTA looking for a new and rewarding challenge? We are working with a fantastic specialist school in Milton Keynes that caters for children with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Communication and Interaction Difficulties, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Complex Needs, ADHD, and PDA.
This is a brilliant opportunity to join a supportive and forward-thinking team dedicated to making a real difference in the lives of young people.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver small group or individual interventions, supporting pupils' academic and personal development.
* Work collaboratively with teachers to prepare and adapt learning materials to meet individual needs.
* Provide classroom cover in the absence of a teacher where appropriate.
* Support pupils with a variety of additional needs, using creative and inclusive strategies to encourage engagement.
* Foster a positive learning environment, promoting emotional regulation and resilience.
* Lead and mentor other support staff where required, contributing to a strong team ethos.
Key Requirements:
* HLTA qualification (or equivalent) and proven experience in a UK school setting (essential).
* Experience working with children with ASC, SEMH, or other additional needs (highly desirable).
* Confident leading small groups or delivering lessons when required.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive and adaptable approach.
* A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs to achieve their full potential.
