Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality small group and 1:1 interventions to accelerate pupil progress

  • Provide whole-class cover where required, ensuring effective delivery of planned learning

  • Work closely with teaching staff to plan, prepare and assess lessons and learning activities

  • Contribute to the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and differentiated strategies

  • Support behaviour for learning and promote positive classroom environments

  • Assist in monitoring, evaluating and recording pupil progress in line with school policy

Person Specification:
  • HLTA qualification (or equivalent experience in an advanced classroom support role)

  • Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and evidence-based learning strategies

  • Proven ability to manage groups and deliver effective interventions across key stages

  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills

  • A reflective practitioner with a commitment to inclusive education and continuous improvement

  • Confident, resilient, and proactive in supporting both pupils and colleagues
