Salary: £90 – £120 per day (depending on experience)
About the Role:
A supportive secondary school in Milton Keynes is looking for a Learning Support Assistant with experience supporting pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This role is ideal for someone passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and thrive both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support for pupils with SEMH needs.
- Support behaviour management strategies and restorative approaches.
- Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions focusing on wellbeing, resilience, and social skills.
- Work closely with teachers, pastoral staff, and external agencies.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage engagement.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with SEMH or behavioural needs.
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches.
- Calm, resilient, and empathetic personality.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.
