Talent & Development Manager (No Direct Reports)
Milton Keynes
Hybrid | Hours: 37 per week

£50,000 - £55,000 + Car allowance

A growing automotive organisation is looking for a hands-on Talent & Development Manager to support recruitment, L&D, culture and payroll coordination. This is a manager-level role with no direct reports, working closely with the Head of HR in a small, collaborative team.

You'll shape the full employee journey - from attraction and onboarding through to development and retention. The role combines operational HR, people development and project work as the business scales.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end recruitment and improve hiring processes
- Deliver onboarding, management training and wider L&D initiatives
- Support talent reviews, performance processes and succession planning
- Coordinate payroll changes and maintain accurate HR records
- Advise managers on ER matters (probation, attendance, performance)
- Support culture, engagement and people-focused projects
- Use HR data to identify trends and improvements

What We're Looking For
- Strong background in recruitment, L&D or HR advisory/partnering
- Experience with ER issues and UK employment practices
- Payroll knowledge (processing changes, accuracy checks)
- Confident in fast-paced, multi-department environments
- Strong stakeholder and relationship-building skills
- Proactive and solutions-focused
- Good MS Office and HR systems knowledge

Desirable: Automotive or engineering experience | CIPD Level 5+
