Your mission
As an SEN Teacher in Bletchley, you will empower students with additional learning needs to flourish. Inspire progress, champion inclusion, and work closely with families and colleagues to create a learning experience where every young person can thrive.
Main responsibilities as an SEN Teacher:
Transform learning
- Deliver high-impact interventions, including small-group support and withdrawal sessions.
- Shape provision with the SENCO - ensuring staff understand needs, strategies and quality first teaching approaches.
- Boost literacy, oracy, numeracy and digital confidence.
- Use the Assess - Plan - Do - Review cycle to drive meaningful progress and support EHCP reviews.
- Set clear learning goals, maintain excellent records, and create an inspiring, well-organised learning environment.
Connect and collaborate
- As an SEN Teacher you will work hand-in-hand with the SENCO, subject teams, pastoral staff or SEND leads.
- Build strong partnerships with parents and contribute to termly SEND reviews.
- Support smooth transition for students with SEND, including liaison with feeder schools.
Support colleagues
- Help induct and develop new teachers and Learning Support Practitioners.
- Model and promote inclusive practice, encouraging staff to innovate and refine SEND provision.
