Primary, Secondary or SEN Specialist Schools – Milton Keynes Area

The Role:

Supply Desk is proud to be working with a range of highly regarded schools in the Milton Keynes area, all of which are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for students. These schools are currently seeking dedicated Behaviour Mentors to support children who may face social, emotional, or behavioural challenges that impact their learning and development.

The students may need support with:

  • Understanding and following instructions

  • Managing emotions and reactions in a classroom environment

  • Building positive relationships with peers and adults

  • Developing routines and personal organisation

  • Improving confidence and engagement in lessons

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis to manage behaviour and stay on task

  • Building trust and positive relationships with students

  • Working closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to implement behaviour strategies

  • Assisting in delivering targeted interventions

  • Monitoring and recording progress and behavioural developments

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Patient, empathetic, and approachable

  • Passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning

  • Comfortable working with children with SEMH needs or challenging behaviour

  • Able to commit to regular, full- or part-time working days

  • Possessing a valid DBS on the update service, or willing to apply for one
