Warehouse Operative

Location: Milton Keynes Job Type: Permanent/On-siteWorking Hours: Working hours: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm Monday to Thursday, and 8:30 am - 4:30 pm Friday. 1 hour lunch break (Unpaid)Salary: £25000 - £27000 (Experience Dependant) 

We are seeking a full-time Warehouse Operative to join our team based in Milton Keynes. If you are an expert organiser, meticulous with details, proactive, and methodical, we would love to hear from you.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of goods and shipping supplies into and out of the warehouse.
  • Accurately pick and pack sales orders for timely dispatch.
  • Control stock, organise stock, and manage incoming and outgoing demonstration equipment.
  • Store and rotate stock according to company procedures.
  • Maintain a neat, tidy, and safe warehouse environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Book transport collections for outgoing orders.
  • Support the Service Engineer in servicing motor packs.
  • Assist the sales office team with incoming phone calls and customer emails, primarily when cover for illness or holiday is required.
  • Collaborate with the Office Manager to ensure sufficient stock holding and utilization.
  • Report any damage to or unaccounted stock to the Office Manager.
  • Serve as the Office Fire Marshall.
  • Report directly to the Office Manager.

Key Skills and Attributes:

  • Quick learner, adaptable to change.
  • Initiative to prioritize own workloads, take ownership of tasks, and follow through.
  • Comfortable with working with numbers and performing mathematical calculations.
  • Good standard of written and spoken English.
  • Previous warehouse experience is preferable.
  • Willingness to learn and develop technical knowledge of products.

Training:

  • In-house coaching on product range will be provided.
  • Training on company IT and telephone systems.
  • Stacker truck and Fire Marshall training.
  • Opportunities for further training and personal development.
